How would you feel if someone told you, “You are going to fail?”
Would you feel like a failure before you even started? Would you want to prove them wrong with everything you’ve got? Would it make you feel angry, hurt, or unfairly judged?
How about if they said, “I give you permission to fail.”
How would that feel?
Imagine if the fear of failure was something you could release, knowing that failure doesn’t define you. What if you could stop seeing it as something to avoid at all costs and start seeing it as a stepping stone toward growth?
It’s time to ask yourself: What is my fear of failure really costing me?
I know for me, it’s cost me a lot:
Deeper connections with others
The chance to meet people who share my passions earlier in life.
The confidence to stand tall and take on new challenges
Developing new skills
The courage to live a more adventurous life
And I can only guess how much more it’s held me back from. But here’s what I do know. I am bolder, braver and more confident today because I chose to do the uncomfortable.
I am doing the work to undo thought patterns I have learned and reframe my thoughts and to step into more growth with courage.
Today, I choose different. I choose to be more comfortable with failure. Becoming more comfortable with failure is powerful. It leads to growth. It’s where the real learning begins.
It’s an experiment. A new adventure. A chance to live more fully.
And guess what? It’s okay to fail. Failing doesn’t make you less of who you are. In fact, it makes you stronger. It gives you the courage to keep going, even when things don’t go perfectly. The most important part is showing up, trying, and being willing to get back up again.
“You weren’t given another day because you need it, but because someone else needs you.” Your life is meant to be a source of inspiration and courage for others.
Live boldly. Live bravely. And remember, it’s okay if you fail. Because you tried.
Happy Monday! GO Fail!
